WINORA launches comfort pedelec with Pinion MGU drive unit
Kulms Engineering supplied engineering and product knowledge as well as project management to the mechanical design process of a comfort pedelec.
Based on an outstanding industrial design which was created by the Haibike Design Center the project team integrated the Pinion MGU drive system.
Structural integrity of the welded aluminum low step frame design was specified for 180 kg total weight.
Kulms Engineering supplied Solidworks 3D CAD data for all sizes of the monocoque carbon main frame, the seat and chain stays as well as sructural linkage parts and plastic covers.
The main engineering task was to integrate the Pinion MGU drive unit, battery and HMI into a carbon frame based on aHaibike Design Center progressive industrial design concept.
